Nahar Agro has started operation as a livestock venture in 1989. This project turned out to
be one of the successful ventures and had upheld sustainable growth maintaining
top quality day old chicks, poultry and fish feed, dairy and horticulture products.
Mr. Rakibur Rahman (Tutul) was born on February 1, 1974, into a respected Muslim family in Chattogram. His father, Mr. T. S. Mahbubur Rahman, served as an Engineer at Bangladesh Railway, and his mother, Mrs. Shamsun Nahar, is the Founder Chairman of Nahar Agro.
Mr. Rahman is the Managing Director of Nahar Agro, but his journey began modestly during his student life, driven by a deep passion for animals. Starting with only 300-layer hens, he gradually expanded his efforts and transformed Nahar Agro into one of the leading organizations in Bangladesh’s poultry industry. The company now operates Grand Parent (GP) farm, Poultry Breeder Farms, feed mills, Dairy Farm.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the livestock sector, Mr.Rahman received the Dairy Icon Award 2021 (Dairy Category) and Dairy Icon Award 2022 (Feed Category) from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Government of Bangladesh.
Mr. Tanjib Jawad Rahman holds the position of Director at Nahar Agro, one of Bangladesh’s leading diversified agricultural conglomerates. He holds a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Management from the University of the West of England, Bristol. A visionary leader and strategist at heart, Mr. Rahman believes in innovation and sustainability as the pillars of long-term success. Known for his operational acumen and people-centered leadership, he combines strategic insight with hands-on execution, driving initiatives that ensure sustainable growth and excellence across the company’s poultry and feed operations. His forward-thinking approach and unwavering commitment to ethical business practices make him an inspiring figure in Bangladesh’s agricultural sector.
An aspiring engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, currently serving as Director at Nahar Agro. Equipped with a strong foundation in mathematics, data analysis, systems design, and sustainability, with a focus on applying engineering principles to enhance operational efficiency and innovation. Dedicated to optimizing feed manufacturing, streamlining hatchery and farm systems, and advancing data-driven decision-making across poultry, cattle, and fish feed production. Committed to driving Nahar Agro’s growth through process improvement, cost reduction, and sustainable practices.
